Island promoters Vaguely Sunny are arranging an interesting concert in this years Ventnor Fringe Festival. It is a European collaboration that Vic King was very much involved in setting up back in 2019. Coming to Ventnor Fringe direct from the World Harp Congress in Cardiff, Pippa Reid-Foster and Eva Alkula present their show ‘Metamorphosis’ which explores the sound of two string instruments – the Scottish harp and the Finnish kantele (which has a bell-like sound) – in a concert of exquisite minimalism which will focus on pressing issues affecting our climate and the beautiful world we live in. The concert is presented in partnership with the Harp on Wight International Festival. The concert takes place on Thursday, 28th July at St.Catherine’s Church, Church Street, Ventnor at 8.00pm. Tickets are £12.00 each, under 25’s £8.00, and can be booked in advance online at http://www.vfringe.co.uk, or by phoning 01983-716767, or in person from Ventnor Exchange. Church Street, Ventnor.
