MYRDHIN and ELISA DUO (from Brittany)

Picture
MYRDHIN (from Brittany)
Myrdhin has an amazing solo tradition. He’s very involved in Breton music scene, at harp festivals and also in the Breton bardic tradition, storytelling. He often travels in Europe and beyond (South America, Japan, Java, Russia…). He has produced 50 records & CDs and has received numerous trophies for his work. He played with AfraCelt Sound System and won two golden disk and a nomination for a Grammy Award with them in 2000.
In 1984 he founded the International Celtic Harp Festival in Dinan, which attracts players and harp makers from around the world.

ELISA NICOTRA (from Brittany)
Elisa  discovered the harp first in medieval literature, in Italy, and then in the music. She studied in Milan, Italy and soon was invited in (highly varied) collaborations mostly abroad: from the Buddhist meditation groups to the theatre troupes in Venice to the heavy metal bands, she found finally her place in Renaissance-folk-gothic ensembles, mainly in Germany. In 2014 she moved to Brittany and met Myrdhin. Their duo was founded on the basis of their common passions: celtic folk, medieval music, mysticism and fusions of styles. Elisa composes songs in different languages and has released a solo album before those in collaboration with Myrdhin.
