Ryde Methodist Church - Garfield Road - Church Hall

“RHYTHMS ON THE HARP”

In this workshop we will explore the world of rhythms, together, without any pressure to perform, but with lots of fun trying things out.

We will look at different styles such as Bossa Nova or other grooves from world music or jazz and we will try to improvise melodies on top of these rhythms.

Whether you have some experience with rhythms or you are simply curious, the focus is on enjoying and playing together.

Friday 23rd  October 11:30 - 13:00

Ryde Methodist Church - Garfield Road - Church Hall

“CONNECTING WITH CREATIVITY. WATCH MAGIC HAPPENING!”

This course is all about creativity, musical flow and expression.

With great sensitivity, Monika Stadler enables participants to recognise and develop their own creativity and to help overcome any fear of making mistakes or improvising in a group. We will also discover the wide variety of sounds of the harp in a playful way. Rather than focusing on perfecting technical playing, we explore the desire to discover new things, listen to sounds, connect with our “inner hearing” and give free rein to ideas and impulses.

LEVEL: At least two years of playing the harp experience. Intermediate to advanced

£ 50 (2 sessions x 1.5 hrs)
