ROUL MORETTI

Picture
The Italian-Swiss harpist Raoul Moretti is a versatile harpist with a very personal approach to the instrument. After the classical degree and many experiences in classical and 1900s music, he started a deep research on electro harp, a kaleidoscopic approach between composing and improvisation and use of unconventional techniques. His many interests have spurred him to engage in different musical worlds and other forms of art. From here projects evolved, entirely unique, providing several opportunities to collaborate with other artists. Among the others: the Italian pop star Elisa in Back To the Future Tour 2022 and Intimate Xmas 2023, the singer Beppe Dettori who won as best Album the Archivio Cervo 2020 with the showman Fiorello and his orchestra with world famous guests. The outstanding musicians Paolo Fresu, Gavino Murgia, Tenores de Bitti, Franco Mussida, Cordas et Cannas; the cellist Julia Kent; Il Piccolo Teatro di Milano and many other theatre companies and actors and writers.
He played his projects for electroharp, live electronics in International Festivals in Italy, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Spain, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland, China, Paraguay, Chile, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina and Australia. In the last years he run workshops in various Academies in Italy and Europe, about the electroharp and electronics and about unconventional playing and improvisation. He is creator and Artistic Director of the International Harp Festival “Arpe del Mondo”, and of the Internationl World String Festival-Boghes e Cordas. He teaches in Cagliari and in Milan at CPM Institute, the first Master Harp for Pop/Rock and contemporary languages.
