Harp On Wight International 24th October 2023 - 29th October 2023
Isle of Wight Harp Festival
The Future of Harp on Wight
Harp on Wight International wish to announce they are taking a break for reflection.
There will be no Festival in 2024,
The Festival faced logistical and operational difficulties this year and as a result the small Festival team were over stretched. Air travel for harpists and onward transfer to Ryde presented a particular problem.
Also without the benefit of a great deal of sponsorship it is becoming increasingly difficult on a tight budget to deliver an international festival of the quality seen since the Festival began in 2014. The Festival team will reflect on these issues and announce a decision on the future of the Festival in October 2024.
We are grateful to all musicians that came to the Island from all over the world and contributed to create the High Standard Profile of the Festival, and also all exhibitors that kindly supported the Festival supplying harps for musicians and students. Finally we are grateful to Ryde Methodist Church for offering the use of the venue and to all audience that supported us in this 10 years Festival.
There may well be small scale harp events organised prior to October so keep an eye on the web site for details.

Our Dream You can dream a drum, that you play with fun, but the harp indeed, is that all you need to give voice and soul, to your inner goal, which will, in the end, make your heart expand.
